About the team and this role:
You will be reporting to our Sales & Partnerships Manager in SF. For this role, we ideally need someone who is based in SF City or in the wider Bay Area and willing to come frequently into the City, at least 1-2 times per week. This role is a part-time/internship concept. You’ll be working closely with the CEO and Sales Manager in all aspects of growth. At some point, based on performance and budget, we may upgrade this role to a permanent position (this is how the Sales Manager started too). You’ll work with us on all areas of events, partnerships, sales and marketing.
Responsibilities:
Events & Conferences: represent Inkle at high-impact startup events and conferences including TechCrunch Disrupt, SF Tech Week, HubSpot Inbound, Money 20/20, and more — with a focus on networking, pitching, and closing leads.
Partnerships: work closely with our partnerships team to manage and deepen relationships with key partners (Brex, Mercury, VCs, university accelerators, etc.).
Office Presence: join the team four days a week in our San Francisco office to collaborate closely with sales and partnerships.
Community & Events: host Inkle-led networking events and activations, owning logistics, execution, and on-the-ground engagement.
Outbound & ABM: contribute to outbound sales efforts and Account-Based Marketing (ABM) campaigns using modern sales tech and playbooks.
Skills and Requirements:
Studying or recently completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
Must have US work authorization or be eligible for CPT / OPT
Extreme proactiveness. This is the number one trait we’re looking for. We will not micromanage you - you must be a complete self-starter, and make yourself super busy and just take care of things without being asked.
Very high attention to detail. This is super important.
Working with lots of software - speed is of the essence, and you must be comfortable using AI tools to get even faster.
Communication is key: you’ll need very strong English (written and spoken) and absolute willingness to overcommunicate without being asked.
Regularly work late nights to coordinate with India-based teams.
Travel when required to SF Bay Area and NY City during conference seasons (May and October) if required.
