About Inkle:
Inkle is a US tax & accounting software startup based in San Francisco and Bangalore. We exclusively serve US technology startups. We're on a mission to make accounting, tax, and compliance easy, scalable, affordable, and on-demand for US-registered companies - using software and human services. We are a team of passionate and creative individuals who believe in the power of technology to simplify complex processes. Inkle launched in 2022 and already serves well over 500 US companies, and we’re growing fast. We’re backed by leading global VC funds.
About the team and this role:
Inkle is growing fast, and so is our team. We’re hiring across functions - engineering, product, accounting, sales, and operations - and our People team is at the heart of building it. As a small, high-impact team, we partner directly with leadership and hiring managers to bring in people who raise the bar.
We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Intern who can take end-to-end ownership of hiring for a set of open roles, from sourcing and screening to coordinating interviews and closing offers. This is a 4-month internship with a clear path to a full-time role based on performance.
Responsibilities:
Sourcing: Proactively find and engage candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and campus networks — no waiting for applications to come in.
Screening: Review applications and conduct initial screening calls to assess skills, motivation, and expectations.
Interview coordination: Schedule interviews across hiring managers and time zones, and ensure a smooth, timely process for every candidate.
Pipeline ownership: Keep the ATS and hiring trackers accurate and up to date, and share regular pipeline updates with hiring managers.
Hiring manager partnership: Work with managers to understand role requirements, refine JDs, and follow up for timely interview feedback.
Candidate experience: Be the main point of contact for candidates — communicate clearly, follow up promptly, and represent Inkle well.
Offers & onboarding handoff: Support offer rollouts and ensure a smooth handoff to People Ops for onboarding.
Who we’re looking for
Extreme ownership & proactiveness: You’ll own multiple open roles at once — you must be independent, organized, and relentless about follow-ups.
Speed with structure: Hiring moves fast. You can juggle many candidates and deadlines without dropping the ball.
People skills: You enjoy talking to people, build rapport quickly, and can assess fit beyond what’s on a resume.
Communication skills: Strong written and verbal English; clear, concise communication with candidates, hiring managers, and leadership.
Tool proficiency: Comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets, LinkedIn, and a variety of SaaS tools.
Education: Recent graduate or postgraduate in any discipline (MBA/HR preferred) with a genuine interest in recruiting and HR.
Location & Work mode: Based in Bengaluru; full-time, in-office.
Bonus: Prior internship experience in recruiting, especially hiring for a startup, or exposure to an ATS is a plus.
Diversity Statement:
Inkle is committed to building a diverse and inclusive culture that promotes our belief in humanity excelling when we celebrate our differences. We are an equal opportunity provider and invite applicants from all backgrounds.
